Summary Intercultural Competence
Participants assess and develop their Intercultural Competence (IC) based on the IDI Assessment. Working through the five stages of IC and exploring the behaviors and mindsets, the participants gain a deep understanding of the what it means to broaden one`s perspective, remain authentic and engage in adaptive behavior when working across cultures. Diverse cultural dimensions across regions are explored, and participants learn to respond to work practices, behaviors, and values with intercultural sensitivity and awareness.
The participants explore strategies for empathic communication across cultures and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of intercultural competence on team dynamics and performance. The participants address unconscious biases affecting collaboration and acquire tools for effective and empathic conflict resolution across cultures.
The 1-2 day, face-to-face, or virtual workshops, featuring facilitator-led sessions, self-reflection, and interactive talks and exercises are customized to the participants’ needs. Participants engage in group activities, breakout sessions, and case studies to enhance their levels of competence when working across diverse teams and regions.
The participants’ intercultural competence is enhanced through self-awareness, awareness of the continuum of intercultural competence, practical application of concepts, real-world examples in intercultural competence.
