Global Leadership Competence: Establish a comprehensive understanding of the mindsets, characteristics and behaviors traits of global leadership competence

Cultural Awareness: Explore nine cultural dimensions in the GLOBE study and their practical application

HPGT: Build leaders capabilities to lead high performing global teams along seven criteria for HPGT

Team Dynamics: Identify current teams’ strengths and areas for development and explore best practices to enhance leadership for optimal performance and improved communication with diverse global teams

Culture-Based Dynamics: Understand the impact that culture has on team dynamics and performance

Communication Across Cultures: Explore strategies to adapt to various cultural contexts, through adaptive communication

Conflict Resolution Across Cultures: Build culturally appropriate conflict resolution strategies and approaches (TKI)

Inclusive Leadership: Provide leaders with tools and strategies for fostering inclusivity in leadership and create a culture within organizations that values diversity and fosters inclusivity

Target Group

The Intercultural Competence workshop is designed for professionals across various roles and departments within your organization, including:

Global Leaders and Executives: For Leaders with global responsibilities who are navigating the complexities of global business environments and leading multicultural teams

Team Leaders: For team leads responsible for driving global initiatives and seeking to develop strategies to manage global teams and projects

Diverse Team Members: Professionals who work within multicultural teams that require the tools and techniques to navigate cultural differences and continuously foster effective communication and collaboration

Methodology

Before the workshop:

Pre-Workshop Survey: Prior to the workshop, the participants complete a survey to highlight their strengths, knowledge, challenges and expectations for the workshop

Intercultural Development Inventory(IDI): Prior to the workshop, an IDI assessment can be conducted to assess the current status and experience of participants (Optional)

During the workshop:

1- 2 Day Virtual or Face-to-Face Workshop /Customized to clients’ needs

Facilitator-led Sessions: Insights, activities and reflections on participants global leadership challenges

Self-Reflection: Leaders reflect on their own cultural conditioning and if and how this affects their leadership with facilitator and peer feedback

Interactive Talks: Insights on global leadership values and behaviors, cultural specific and universal behaviors

Case Studies: Examine case studies with successful cross-cultural collaboration strategies and best practices that can be adapted to participants individual leadership context

Group Activities: Breakout sessions to identify and explore leadership challenges and opportunities leading high performing global teams

After the workshop:

Application to leaders role: The program goes beyond theory; emphasizing the practical application of Global Leadership Competence concepts and best practices

Certification: Upon completion of the workshop, the leaders receive a certificate of workshop completion and a badge demonstrating successful completion of the Global Leadership Competence Workshop

Summary Global Leadership Competence

In the Global Leadership Competence workshop, leaders will gain a comprehensive understanding of the mindsets, characteristics, and behavioral traits essential for effective global leadership. The workshop delves into Cultural Awareness, where participants explore nine cultural dimensions identified in the GLOBE study and learn their practical applications. Additionally, leaders develop High-Performance Global Team (HPGT) capabilities, focusing on seven criteria for leading high-performing global teams. Team Dynamics are scrutinized to identify current strengths and areas for improvement, with an emphasis on enhancing leadership for optimal performance and improved communication within diverse global teams.

The workshop also addresses Culture-Based Dynamics, emphasizing the impact of culture on team dynamics and performance. Leaders explore Communication Across Cultures, gaining strategies to adapt to various cultural contexts through adaptive communication. Conflict Resolution Across Cultures is a key focus, building culturally appropriate conflict resolution strategies and approaches using the TKI model. Inclusive Leadership is emphasized, providing leaders with tools and strategies to foster inclusivity in leadership and create a culture within organizations that values diversity.

Prior to the workshop, participants engage in a Pre-Workshop Survey, highlighting their strengths, knowledge, challenges, and expectations. An optional Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) assessment can be conducted to assess participants’ current status and experience. During the workshop, which can be conducted virtually or face-to-face over 1-2 days and customized to clients’ needs, facilitator-led sessions, self-reflection, interactive talks, case studies, and group activities offer insights, reflections, and practical applications for global leadership challenges. After the workshop, participants apply the concepts and best practices to their leadership roles, receiving a certificate and badge upon successful completion of the Global Leadership Competence Workshop.
